Dear Prisoner!

Traveler’s Inn, Destination Nagar

Whether anyone believes it or not, the traveler himself considers himself democratic, and you personally know that before the incident of May 9, the traveler himself and journalists collectively presented to you the suggestion of political reconciliation or reconciliation with the establishment, and for the past two and a half years the traveler, by repeatedly chanting reconciliation, has begun to feel ashamed that neither the establishment likes the talk of reconciliation nor does the Noon League like this suggestion, and surprisingly, despite being in crisis and you being in jail for two years, they also do not like this path. The path is still the same; otherwise, from fight never has a way emerged nor will it emerge.

Prisoner Ji! Pakistan’s history is filled with contradictions. Only by learning lessons from past events can a way emerge. There has also been war between establishment and politicians, and from time to time politicians have also obtained patronage of the establishment. When Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto came into power, he was not only summoned into GHQ and made Martial Law Administrator but also the crown of President was adorned on his head, at that time he was the beloved leader of the establishment. But when in 1977 he was removed from power, he became condemned. At that time there were two points of view: that General Zia-ul-Haq was non-popular, after removing a two-third majority Prime Minister the army would not be able to maintain its power for long; it was also thought that to keep a leader like Bhutto in jail and to hang him was impossible. One point of view was that Bhutto should not fight Zia-ul-Haq, should silently accept exile and return when good time comes again. But Bhutto Sahib and his die-hard supporters’ point of view prevailed, according to which hostility, fight and political struggle is the best path. Thus, the People’s Party chose its path and the result came in Bhutto’s hanging. Neither appeals of world leaders worked, nor did the Supreme Court deliver justice, nor did protest movements stop General Zia-ul-Haq from his intentions. It took ten years, General Zia-ul-Haq died in an air crash, then Benazir Bhutto got political way and reached the position of Prime Minister. Afterwards Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto’s fights and quarrels with the establishment happened, but both adopted the path of reconciliation and thus kept coming in and out of power again and again. Experiences taught the People’s Party and Noon League the art of politics in Pakistan. Give them taunts of a thousand unprincipled moves, both parties today are in government. Say whatever, but in practical politics, this is what is called success.

Prisoner Ji! Political contradictions have created such a situation that your lovers are bent upon killing you with kisses. Apparently they love you and want that through revolution and protest they seat you on the throne. But reality is that this narrative has taken you hostage and blocked your political paths. Wailing, crying, stories based on lies, and cursing that worms may fall into the enemy’s cannons do not change situations. PTI thought that the country’s economic condition is fragile; either it will default or due to economic deterioration anarchy will spread. This theory was made believed in every meeting of Tehreek-e-Insaf. But this proved completely wrong. Establishment and government saved the country from economic crisis.

The second narrative was that in courts, army and among people, Tehreek-e-Insaf and its leader’s popularity is such that either judges will give such decisions that government will become difficult to run and re-elections will become compulsion. Government and establishment made this conspiracy and attempt fail. Then the thought became that now protest and international pressure will work. As soon as President Trump comes into power, prisoner Imran Khan’s release is certain. This thought also proved wrong. President Trump considered U-turn better, and instead of appealing for prisoner’s release, decided to side with the captor. Hopes were also pinned on war, but war also government and establishment won. Expectations from defeat did not come true. Again and again Tehreek-e-Insaf’s estimates and analyses proved wrong. Narratives failed, wishes kept completely breaking. But YouTubers after every defeat fabricated a new story and want to keep you continuously in jail.

Prisoner Ji! Life is, then the world is. Pakistan does not want to see again a tragedy like Bhutto. Nor does it want to push your millions of supporters into despair and helplessness. If by reconciliation the matter is possible, then immediately do it and coming out of jail is practicality. Imagination is a long and patience-testing struggle, which is done for democratic ideals. You always considered governing together with establishment as legitimate. Even now you have no principled disagreement on this. Your disagreement is personal. Come out of this difficult time, prepare your party for successful governance of the future.

Dear Prisoner Ji! You used to say again and again that U-turns are good. Take one U-turn also for the stability of the country. Until next elections, keep the fast of silence, and put all your strength into ensuring transparency of the next elections. This deal will be acceptable to all. Government will get free hand, suspicions of establishment will go away, Tehreek-e-Insaf will not only get release of its leader but will get free hand to work inside parliament.

Dear Prisoner! If some miracle or accident happens, then that is another matter. Otherwise, under your present strategy and leadership of YouTubers no big political decision is possible. Reality is that now chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf is not you but those YouTubers who, in your party on your name, play with emotions. No leader is outside their scrutiny, neither establishment, nor government, nor media, nor even your family. You practically have become hostage and robot of your own lovers. You are not capable of making decision against their will. Whereas people will accept even your unpopular decision. Whatever deal you make for release, your release will prove a victory far greater than the conditions.

Dear Prisoner Life! Those apparently looking like your supporters, in reality at this time are playing role of Tara Masih. You open your eyes, distinguish friend and enemy. Whoever individual or condition is blocking in the path of your release, that is your enemy. And every such condition or individual who wants to get you release, that is your sincere friend. History is knocking at your door. The decision you have to make.
