Politicians have to show the way to God’s creation, so they are expected to have extraordinary intelligence and unparalleled wisdom and understanding of the matter. For us common people, two eyes are a blessing, but a politician should have three eyes, only then can he make decisions by reading the future. Two eyes can only see the surrounding conditions, the third eye, which is in the mind, should be able to see far. Popularity is the religion of God, acceptance is the wing of power, but rationality is the attitude that rulers and politicians should adopt so that the journey of the state continues and does not go anywhere in vain.

This public has been drawing attention to the gaps in popularity and acceptance for the past two years. Unfortunately, both sides did not like these things. Everyone has the right to like or dislike, but the only way was reconciliation and negotiations, and no one accepted that either. The popular abusers kept taunting that this was the line of the accepted people and the accepted people kept disliking that why did they bring our heartfelt concerns to the public? Well, a lot of water has passed under the bridge. The popular people have tried everything, including protests, arguments, abuses and bloodshed, and now they have reached the same place where they were advised to reach two years ago. The accepted people also tried all the tactics, they brought popularity under control but could not seal it. So for so many years we have been going around in circles, we could not catch the head of the situation and are still moving towards an unknown destination.

In fact, there is a lack of rationality on both sides of popularity and acceptance. Now, it seems that the possibility of turning to negotiations and reconciliation has increased, but this has happened when the popularity has weakened its bargaining position, expectations from the judiciary have failed, protests and long marches have brought disappointing results, aggressive statements, accusations and insults have not been able to harm the other. On the other hand, the acceptance has weakened the fortress of popularity, but has not been able to completely raze and demolish it.

Apparently, negotiations are the ideal and the only solution, a national government is the best formula for moving forward, but if we look at it pragmatically, those who accept will not encourage these two things at the moment, but will discourage them. On the one hand, the PTI government wants to get relief from the ruling party and the current setup by accepting the February 8 elections, but those who accept will not make it a strategy to give relief at the moment. They would like to give another push to the collapsing wall of the PTI and weaken it so much that it will never be a threat to them. On the other hand, the PTI wants to get out of this situation after wrong decisions up and down. Those who accept will probably ENGAGE them at the moment, but they will be able to get relief only a few months before the next election. The assumption is that the acceptanceists will first strengthen the anti-Imran narrative by stabilizing the economy and forming a new political group of their own and then contest the elections. There will be local elections first and then national elections. But at present, I do not see any possibility of a grand reconciliation immediately. The reason is the lack of rationality on both sides. The PTI is riding the horse of popularity and believes that their horse will overcome every obstacle. On the other hand, those in power believe that we have experience in stopping and even disciplining horses. We will first discipline this horse and then let it enter the field.

The reality of the negotiations is that on one side, PTI and the Speaker are holding a meeting and on the other side, the Interior Minister is meeting the dead elephant Pervez Khattak, as if the strategy for attacking PTI’s stronghold of resistance, Pakhtunkhwa, has begun to be decided. If PTI launches a civil disobedience movement and Ali Amin Gandapur joins it, then whatever the results, the Gandapur government will be sent home. The federal government has made this decision. Who listens to the voice of a parrot in a drafting room? Reasonableness is needed for the success of negotiations and the country’s progress. Reasonableness means live and let live. Create flexibility for each other and try to improve the future by recognizing each other. On the one hand, the PTI people want talks, on the other hand, the abusers and abusers are making a series of accusations against the powerful, politicians and journalists, and the PTI leadership neither announces its disassociation from them nor takes any steps to discourage them. The result is that when unknown strangers abuse and make accusations, the abuse in response is not directed at these strangers, but at Imran Khan. Unfortunately, the very nature of Khan’s supporters has become responsible for keeping him in jail. They hijack a few popular narratives and earn dollars through them, and in return, Khan, who is in jail, has to face difficulties. Extremist behaviors and groups put pressure on their own leadership and do not allow it to make independent decisions, which leads the party to further extremism, and ultimately, people like them bring destruction to the parties. The PTI is currently going through this internal crisis. Khan likes this aggression and has even been encouraging it, but it is himself. For this, there is poison. If you have a dagger quenched in poison in your hand and a black mark of insults on your tongue, who will negotiate with you? Will anyone think that these policies have reduced or increased the number of Khan’s opponents? Will this aggressive strategy have saved Khan or will more calamities befall him? The more time the powerful take, the more the Khan’s party will suffer and the powerful will benefit. If there was a language of rationality, it would have been crying out to abandon fighting, quarreling, and methods of belittling each other and adopt a policy of giving each other space.

Both acceptance and popularity are advised to now hold on to the rope of rationality. You are both one reality, but if two realities clash, then horror will reign, hopelessness will reign, and despair will spread. This is the situation today. Nations are formed and run by rationality. Rationality is to change the mindset of plundering each other, recognize each other, and prefer to walk together.
