If the spiritual father of the Shaheens, Allama Iqbal, used them, then this man also has every right to use Akbar Allahabadi’s terms and give them new interpretations. Akbar Allahabadi has used these three words well in this poem:

There is no trace of rebellion in them, nor of corruption in them.

This is the only proof of lighting a lamp at the national shrine.

The rebels, dagis and chiraghis of Akbar Allahabadi were one thing and the rebels of this Ben Nawa are another. That time was different, today is a different time. If faces, events and situations change, their interpretation also changes. Nowadays, politics dominates the national horizon, so today’s rebels, dagis and chiraghis are also of politics.

In the history of the conflict, the rebels of the first 50 years were communists, nationalists, democrats and provincialists. In that era, the ideological war was fought in the form of arguments and sometimes battles. The communists and socialists believed that this soil was more suitable for the red revolution. Because of their revolutionary intentions, the state declared them rebels and thus they remained subordinate to the state. Whenever martial law came, the rebels who raised their voices for democracy remained, sometimes Maulvi Tamizuddin, sometimes Suhrawardy, sometimes Nawabzada Nasrullah, sometimes Bhutto, sometimes Benazir, sometimes Nawaz Sharif and now Imran Khan also fall into this category of rebellion. It is a different matter how many of them were democrats for power and how many really wanted power for democracy. We have seen rebels like Asma Jahangir, Raza Rabbani and Javed Hashmi struggling considering democracy as part of their faith. Salman Akram Raja was an idealistic democrat before entering politics. It is expected that he will get his name written in the above list and will not play the game of democracy for power. Most people prefer to be a part of the game of power rather than democracy ideologically. In our electoral politics, a rebel is rarely seen. Yes, power lovers standing in rows, swinging for power. Only a few people are ideologically committed. Whether someone likes it or not, but the name of Mahmood Achakzai also comes in this list. The PPP and the PML-N have also struggled for a long time to restore democracy. Yousuf Raza Gilani’s initiative to invite Ijaz Chaudhry to the Senate is a perfect example of democracy. He must not have been under any pressure in this regard, but he is still adamant. Many people are filled with hatred and malice towards Bilawal Bhutto, but his views and beliefs are still based on loyalty to democracy. There may be a hundred differences with Ishaq Dar in the PML-N, but he always believes in peace, not fighting, in politics. He is a strong supporter of democratic values, and he should also be included in this list.

After the rebel comes the dagi. The dagi has no religion. He plays on both sides of the wicket. He does not hesitate to go wherever he finds interest. The real dagi are those looters who, puffing up their chests, sit as ministers and advisors in the governments that come after the departure of democracy. Where Article 6 should be imposed on judges who support martial law, in addition to the generals, these politicians, journalists and even their big supporters should also receive at least symbolic punishments so that those who violate democracy and the constitution are called dagi and do not roam around in society and cannot publicly criticize democracy, politics and the constitution. The future of democracy, politics, journalism and the judiciary in this country is being destroyed by scumbags who are not convinced by any principle, ideology or principle. Even if they are slapped, they raise their heads to the sky with screams, even meet the opposition and try to establish their fake bravery. All those fleeing Pakistan are scumbags who are sitting in safe places and firing shells, they do not care whether the shell hits their beloved or the opponent.

The most dangerous are the lamp-bearers who want to kill their beloved and light a lamp on his tomb. These are the cunning and cunning ones who have no interest in the life of their beloved, his release from prison or getting rid of their problems. In this regard, Aleema Khan and her sister have a clear position. They only talk about the release of their brother. It is a different matter that they also give many rebellious messages on social media. Well, the mention of the lamp-bearers was being made. These lamp-bearers know that the day Khan comes out of jail, the lamp of these lamp-bearers will go out. Among them, there are many ironists who want Khan to never come out of jail, but unfortunately, they want Khan to become a tomb and they can keep lighting their lamps on it. The lamp-bearers of the opposition will neither let Khan reconcile nor do they want him to ever come out of jail. Nor do they want him to become the Prime Minister again because the captain has to immediately recognize these lamp-bearers and get them released.

It is said that today’s modern world has been shaped by rebels, madmen and fanatics, while the intellectual narrative of the same thing is that today’s world has been shaped by the Creative Minority. If Socrates, Newton, Bacon and our own leaders had not thought outside the conventional thinking, had they not rebelled against traditions, perhaps today’s world would not be what it is today. There would be no science, no democracy and no flood of conveniences in human lives that could not have come to human thought in any previous era. Rebels are the highest, but rebellion is subordinate to ideology. If rebellion is for the pure ideology of democracy, then salute the rebels. Otherwise, we have been tainted many times by the taints and salute the lamplighters from afar. If this nation and state have to survive, then the lamps of the lamplighters should be extinguished forever.
